Special Issue on Physical Optics Research

In physics, physical optics, or wave optics, is the branch of optics which studies interference, diffraction, polarization, and other phenomena for which the ray approximation of geometric optics is not valid. This usage tends not to include effects such as quantum noise in optical communication, which is studied in the sub-branch of coherence theory. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in this area of physical optics research.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring physical optics research. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • The interference of light research
  • The diffraction of light research
  • The polarization of light research
  • Light wave superposition and analysis
  • Fourier optics
  • Crystal optical

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Physical Optics Research” should be chosen during your submission.

According to the following timetable:

Submission Deadline

December 15th, 2016

Publication Date

             January 2017
