Special Issue on Eutrophication

Eutrophication is the ecosystem response to the addition of artificial or natural substances, such as nitrates and phosphates, through fertilizers or sewage, to an aquatic system. One example is the "bloom" or great increase of phytoplankton in a water body as a response to increased levels of nutrients. Negative environmental effects include hypoxia, the depletion of oxygen in the water, which induces reductions in specific fish and other animal populations. Other species may experience an increase in population that negatively affects other species. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of Eutrophication.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore Eutrophication.

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors' Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the Special Issue’’ under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue Eutrophication” should be chosen during your submission.

Also please note the following timetable:
