Special Issue on Bacterial Adhesion and Biofilms Formation
Bacterial adhesion to surfaces and subsequent
formation of microcolonies play important roles in biofilm formation. It has received
much attention in the last decade, as it has become clear that virtually all
types of bacteria can form biofilms and that this may be the preferred mode of
bacterial existence in nature.
In this
special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit
original research and review articles on exploring bacterial
adhesion and biofilms formation. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Bacteria-surface interactions
-
Biofilm structure
-
Biofilm resistance
-
Bacterial adhesion on surface
-
Biofilm formation and control
-
Mechanisms of bacterial adhesion and development
-
Techniques and measurement of bacterial and biofilm adhesion
-
Usefulness and harmfulness of biofilm
Authors
should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please
kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The
research field “Special Issue - Bacterial Adhesion and Biofilms Formation”
should be selected during your submission.
