Special Issue on Childbirth

Childbirth, also known as labor and delivery, the normal process of which is categorized in three stages: the shortening and dilation of the cervix, descent and birth of the infant, and the expulsion of the placenta. Labor is the process by which the fetus and the placenta leave the uterus. Delivery can occur in two ways, vaginally or by a cesarean delivery.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Childbirth. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Zika in pregnancy
• Labor induction
• Episiotomies
• Vaginal delivery
• Cesarean
• Water birth
• Childbirth complications
• Prolonged labor

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Childbirth” should be selected during your submission.
