Special Issue on Carbon/Carbon Dioxide Capture, Utilization and Storage

Carbon capture and storage (or carbon capture and sequestration) is the process of capturing waste carbon dioxide from large point sources, such as fossil fuel power plants, transporting it to a storage site, and depositing it where it will not enter the atmosphere, normally an underground geological formation. The aim is to prevent the release of large quantities of CO₂ into the atmosphere.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Carbon/Carbon Dioxide Capture, Utilization and Storage. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Carbon/CO₂ capture, utilization and storage technologies
• CO₂ recycling
• Environmental effects
• Storage mechanisms and storage security
• Monitoring and verification technologies
• Carbon/CO₂ separation
• Transport of the captured and compressed CO₂
• Underground injection and geologic sequestration

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Carbon/Carbon Dioxide Capture, Utilization and Storage” should be selected during your submission.
