Special Issue on Thyroid Diseases

The thyroid is a small, butterfly-shaped gland located at the base of the neck. The gland secretes hormones that govern many of the functions in our body, such as the way the body uses energy, consumes oxygen and produces heat. Diseases of the thyroid can result in production of too much or too little thyroid hormone. Women are more likely than men to have thyroid diseases, especially right after pregnancy or menopause.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Thyroid Diseases. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Thyroid cancer
• Thyroid surgery
• Thyroiditis
• Levothyroxine
• Thyroidectomy
• Hyperthyroidism
• Hypoparathyroidism
• Triiodothyronine

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Thyroid Diseases” should be selected during your submission.
