Special Issue on Seed Production
Seed Production is considered as a technique used for
maintaining genetic diversity and identity, seed harvesting, seed cleaning and
seed storage. The efficient production of high-quality and reliable seed is critical
to farmer productivity and profitability. It is a complex process. The parents
of a new variety must be crossed at their purest and that needs great care
while they are growing. Seeds can serve as the delivery system not only for
improved genetics but also for new planting and production methods. It is
important to ensure seeds quality which is a major impact on potential crop
yield and agricultural environment.
In this
special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit
original research and review articles on exploring seed production. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Technology for seed production and
regeneration
-
Genetic integrity of seed
-
Seed harvesting, cleaning and storage
-
Regional testing of seed production
-
Means of pollination
-
Hybridization of seed
-
Case study
Authors
should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please
kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is
supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Seed
Production” should be chosen during your submission.
