Special Issue on Hernia

Call for Papers

A hernia is the protrusion of an organ or the fascia of an organ through the wall of the cavity that normally contains it from within, such as inguinal hernia, femoral hernia, umbilical hernia, incisional hernia, diaphragmatic hernia, cerebral hernia, etc. Hernia brings great pain to the patients. A hernia may present a visible or palpable lump and cause persistent pain at the site, in some cases more vague symptoms resulting from pressure on an organ which has become “stuck” in the hernia, sometimes leading to organ dysfunction. Different kinds of hernia require specific managements or treatments.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring hernia. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

l  Causes and diagnosis of hernia

l  Pathology associated with hernias

l  Complications of hernia surgeries

l  Groin denervation during and following hernia surgery

l  Prosthetic materials used in hernia surgeries

l  Hernia management and treatment

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Hernia” should be chosen during your submission.
