Special Issue on Mathematical Modeling

Mathematical modeling is the most effective bridge connecting mathematics and many disciplines such as Physics, Engineering, Biology, Computer Science, and other areas. A mathematical model can potentially help to explain and control the real phenomena, to uncover the underlying mechanisms via hypotheses and data fitting, to examine the effects of different components, and to make future predictions.

Since, mathematical models are generally written in terms of initial and boundary value problems for nonlinear ordinary (ODEs), partial (PDEs), and integro-differential equations, new methods and algorithm to find their exact, approximate, and asymptotic solutions are of special interest.

We invite researchers to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that will promote the development of new mathematical models, mathematical methods, and computational algorithms for solving real-world problems.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Mathematical Modeling.

This special issue aims to publish novel articles on various aspects of mathematical modeling including analytical and computational techniques.

Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Mathematical models in Physics, Engineering, Biology, and so forth;
• Computational and numerical methods for ODEs and/or PDEs modeling real-world systems;
• Computational Neuroscience.
