Special Issue on Surveying, Mapping and Geodesy

Surveying, mapping and geodesy is a branch of applied mathematics and earth sciences, is the scientific discipline that deals with the measurement and representation of the Earth, including its gravitational field, in a three-dimensional time-varying space. Geodesists also study geodynamical phenomena such as crustal motion, tides, and polar motion. For this they design global and national control networks, using space and terrestrial techniques while relying on datums and coordinate systems.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring surveying, mapping and geodesy. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Surveying techniques
  • Types of surveys
  • Cartography
  • Coordinate systems in the plane
  • Geodetic data
  • Geodetic problems
  • Geodetic observational concepts
  • Plate tectonics and earthquake hazard

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Surveying, Mapping and Geodesy” should be chosen during your submission.

According to the following timetable:
