Special Issue on Gravitational Field

Gravitational Field is the geometric theory of gravitation published by Albert Einstein in 1916 and the current description of gravitation in modern physics. Gravitational field theory differs significantly from classical physics, the former concerns the passage of time, the geometry of space, the motion of bodies in free fall, and the propagation of light. Examples of such differences include gravitational time dilation, gravitational lensing, the gravitational redshift of light, and the gravitational time delay. In particular, the curvature of spacetime is directly related to the energy and momentum of whatever matter and radiation are present. The relation is specified by the Einstein field equations, a system of partial differential equations.

Although gravitational field theory is not the only relativistic theory of gravity, it is the simplest theory that is consistent with experimental data. As one of most crucial issues in the field of science, gravitational field is of great attractions to researchers.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring gravitational field. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Gravitational time dilation
• Gravitational lensing
• The gravitational redshift of light
• The gravitational of time delay
• Gravitational waves
• The relations between general relativity and quantum physics
• Mathematics of general relativity 
• Physical theories modified by general relativity

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Gravitational Field” should be chosen during your submission.
