Special Issue on Mechanisms of Oncogenesis

Carcinogenesis or oncogenesis is caused by mutation and epimutation of the genetic materials of normal cell, which disrupts the normal balance between proliferation and cell death. This results in uncontrolled cell division and often rapid proliferation of cells. Some types of these cells may turn into malignant tumors which can invade other organs, spread to other locations and become life-threatening. Considering the big threat to human life, further research and deep understanding of the Mechanisms of Oncogenesis is necessary and significant.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring mechanisms of oncogenesis. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Mutations and DNA damage
  • Cancer cells
  • Oncogenes
  • Viral infection and oncogenesis
  • Related biochemical molecules
  • Cancer stem cells
  • Clonal evolution

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Mechanisms of Oncogenesis” should be chosen during your submission.

According to the following timetable:

Submission Deadline
