Special Issue on Surfactants Research

Surfactants are also called surface-active agents that lower the surface tension between two liquids or between a liquid and a solid. It is well-know that surfactants are one of the most important types of substances that play an essential role in everyday life. They may act as detergents, wetting agents, emulsifiers, foaming agent, and dispersant. Examples are adsorption on solids and monolayer formation on liquid. Surfactants will sometimes create their own interface by forming very small aggregates like micelles or vesicles to remove a portion of their structure from contact with a solvent. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of surfactants.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring surfactants research. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Interactions of surfactants with bacteria and biosurfaces
• Structure and dynamics of surfactants at interfaces
• Characterization and analysis of surfactants
• Surfactant clusters
• Mixed surfactants and surfactant-polymer systems
• Types of surfactants
• Applications of surfactants (Pharmacy, Chemistry, Material science, Food science, Minerals, etc.)
• Health and environmental issues

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
