Special Issue on Redox Reaction

Redox Reactions (or reduction-oxidation) reactions, are a type of chemical reaction that involves a transfer of electrons between two species. Redox reactions are vital for biochemical reactions and industrial processes. The electron transfer system in cells and oxidation of glucose in the human body are examples of redox reactions. They are used to reduce ores to obtain metals, to produce electrochemical cells, to convert ammonia into nitric acid for fertilizers, and etc. This special issue will be focused on studying different kinds of redox reactions and their applications.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring redox reaction. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Oxidizing agents
  • Reducing agents
  • Balance redox reaction
  • Types of redox reactions
  • Kinetics and mechanism of redox reaction
  • Redox reactions in industry, biology and geology
  • Applications of redox reaction

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Redox Reaction” should be chosen during your submission.

According to the following timetable:

Submission Deadline

January 22nd, 2015

Publication Date
