Special Issue on Microbial Fermentation
This special issue on “Microbial
Fermentation” will be focusing on the latest development in the production
of microbial metabolites by fermentation. Microbial fermentation, as a
significant field of bioscience and biotechnology, is a process that
microorganisms utilize carbohydrates to produce kinds of metabolites. With
different microorganisms or fermentation modes, different metabolites come. In
a very long time, microbial fermentation has been used by humans for the
metabolic products, such as lactic acid, antibiotics, alcohol and so on. Now,
microbial fermentation plays an increasingly important role in many aspects of
human life and production. It’s not only used to produce chemicals and other compounds
for chemistry and energy industries, but also used to make some food for
people. Although some metabolites can be obtained from nature in a certain
degree, microbial fermentation can provide a relatively high yield to meet
people’s requirements. As one of the most important ways to gain products
demanded by human, microbial
fermentation is of great attractions to researchers.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and
authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring microbial fermentation. Potential
topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Microbial

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an
electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper
Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript
title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Microbial
Fermentation” should be
chosen during your submission.
