Special Issue on Medicine and Sociology
Medical sociology, sometimes referred to
as health sociology, is the study of the social causes and consequences of
health and illness. Major areas of
investigation include the social determinants of health and disease, the social
behavior of patients and health care providers, the social functions of health
organizations and institutions, the social patterns of the utilization of
health services, the relationship of health care delivery systems to other
social institutions, and social policies toward health. The goal of this
special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over
the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in
the area of Medicine and Sociology.
In this special issue, we invite
front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review
articles that explore Medicine and
Sociology. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not
