Special Issue on Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery

Medicinal chemistry is a discipline that uses the concepts and methods of chemistry to discover, confirm and develop drugs, and to study the mode and mechanism of action of drugs in the body at the molecular level. The main task of medicinal chemistry is to explore and research new high-efficiency, low-toxic and wholesome drugs, which is also the driving force for the development of medicinal chemistry. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, synthesis, and evaluation of drugs
  • Clinical pharmacology
  • Molecular aspects of drug metabolism
  • Medicinal biochemistry
  • Pharmaceutical analysis
  • Drug repurposing
  • Drug development
  • Structure–activity relationship

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery” should be selected during your submission.
