Special Issue on Neurodegenerative Diseases
Neurodegenerative diseases are a group of disorders characterized by the progressive degeneration of
structure and function of the nervous system. Conditions like Alzheimer's,
Parkinson's, and Huntington's result in the gradual loss of neurons, leading to
cognitive and motor impairments. This academic field investigates the
underlying causes, molecular mechanisms, and potential treatments for these
devastating diseases that primarily affect the brain and nervous system.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Neurodegenerative Diseases. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Therapeutic approaches for the neurodegenerative treatment
-
Genetic basis and molecular pathways
-
Alzheimer's disease research: causes, progression,
and potential treatments
-
Parkinson's disease mechanisms and therapeutic
strategies
-
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
-
Molecular basis and cognitive aspects of dementia
-
Neuroimaging and diagnostics
-
interventions and therapies for degeneration
prevention
-
Genetics of neurodegenerative diseases
-
Neuroinflammation and the development of
neurodegenerative diseases
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field
“Special Issue – Neurodegenerative Diseases” should be chosen during your submission.
