Special Issue on Bioenergy and Biomass
Biomass
can be used to produce renewable electricity, thermal energy, or transportation
fuels (biofuels). Biomass is defined as living or recently dead organisms and
any byproducts of those organisms, plant or animal. The term is generally
understood to exclude coal, oil, and other fossilized remnants of organisms, as
well as soils. In this strict sense, biomass encompasses all living things. In
the context of biomass energy, however, the term refers to those crops,
residues, and other biological materials that can be used as a substitute for
fossil fuels in the production of energy and other products. The goal of
this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all
over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and
developments in this area of Bioenergy and Biomass.
In
this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit
original research and review articles that explore Bioenergy and Biomass. In
this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Biomass
and land use
-
Biological
residues
-
Bioenergy
and climate change
-
Technology
of bioenergy and biomass
-
Bioenergy
processes
-
Bioenergy
utilization
-
Bioenergy
and economic benefits
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should
submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper
Submission System.
Please kindly specify the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Bioenergy and Biomass” should be selected during your submission.
