Special Issue on High Energy Physics

High Energy Physics also know as particle physics or fundamental particle physics, which is a branch of physics that studies the existence and interactions of particles that are the constituents of what is usually referred to as matter of radiation. In current understanding, particles are excitations of quantum fields and interact following their dynamics.

High energy physics research is focused on subatomic particles, including atomic constituents such as electrons, protons, and neutrons (protons and neutrons are composite particles called baryons, made of quarks), produced by radioactive and scattering processes, such as photons, neutrinos, and muons, as well as a wide range of exotic particles. To be specific, the term particle is a misnomer from classical physics because the dynamics of particle physics are governed by quantum mechanics. As such, they exhibit wave-particle duality, displaying particle-like behavior under certain experimental conditions and wave-like behavior in others.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring high energy physics. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Review of high energy physics
  • Ultra high energy physics
  • Quantum field theory
  • Standard model
  • Neutrino physics
  • Dark matter and dark energy
  • Boom cosmology
  • Quantum chromodynamics (QCD)
  • Superstring and cosmic string
  • M-theory and magnetic monopole

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - High Energy Physics” should be chosen during your submission.

According to the following timetable:

Submission Deadline

June 18th, 2014

Publication Date
