Special Issue on Molecular Microbiology and Immunology
"Molecular
Microbiology and Immunology" is an academic topic that combines the study
of microorganisms, such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi, with the immune
system's response to these pathogens. It encompasses the investigation of
molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying microbial infections and the host
immune response against them. This field seeks to understand how microorganisms
interact with their hosts, invade and replicate within cells, and evade immune
defenses. Additionally, it explores the molecular basis of immune recognition,
activation of immune cells, and the development of specific immune responses.
Research in molecular microbiology and immunology contributes to the
advancements in diagnostics, treatment, and prevention strategies for
infectious diseases by uncovering the intricate workings of microbial pathogens
and the immune system at the molecular level.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers
and authors to submit original research and review articles on Molecular Microbiology and Immunology. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Pathogenesis
-
Host-pathogen interactions
-
Immune system development and activation
-
Immunodeficiencies and autoimmunity
-
Vaccines and immunotherapy
-
Antimicrobial resistance
-
Immune regulation and tolerance
-
Innate immunity
-
Microbial genomics
-
Diagnostic methods and biomarkers
-
Infectious and immunological diseases
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field
“Special Issue – Molecular Microbiology and Immunology” should be chosen during your submission.
