Special Issue on Animal Breeding and Genetics

"Animal Breeding and Genetics" is an academic research topic that focuses on the genetic improvement of domesticated animals for agricultural or commercial purposes. It involves the study of animal breeding techniques such as selective breeding, crossbreeding, and genetic engineering in order to develop desirable traits in domesticated animals. These traits may include improved meat quality, reproductive ability, disease resistance, or efficiency in food production. In order to achieve these goals, animal breeders and geneticists use a variety of molecular and statistical tools to analyze genetic data and develop breeding strategies that optimize desired traits in animal populations. Ultimately, the goal of animal breeding and genetics is to produce healthier, more productive and profitable animals for human use.
