    Special Issue on Theoretical Linguistics


    Theoretical linguistics, also known as general linguistics, refers to the study of the structural state and evolution of language. Theoretical linguistics generally focuses on examining the common laws and universal features of human language, rather than studying a specific language. The major fields of theoretical linguistics are Morphology, Phonetics, Phonology, Semantics and Syntax. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of Theoretical Linguistics.


    In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Theoretical Linguistics. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Biolinguistics
    • Discourse analysis
    • Linguistic relativity
    • Minimalist program
