    Special Issue on Water Pollution and Control


    Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies which occurs when a river, lake or other body of water is adversely affected due to the addition of pollutants. When the water is contaminated with different pollutants, the physical, chemical and biological characteristics of water are changed. Water pollution is the leading worldwide cause of death and disease. Streams and rivers are not only potential water sources for humans, they are also important aquatic habitats for various plants and animals. Pollution can have a damaging effect on environment as well as on human health.


    In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Water Pollution and Control. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Marine pollution
    • Groundwater pollution
    • Surface water pollution
    • Water pollutants in streams and rivers
    • Industrial wastewater treatment
    • Agricultural wastewater treatment
    • Control of urban runoff

    Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.


    Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Water Pollution and Control” should be selected during your submission.
