    Special Issue on Volcanology

Volcanology is the science studying volcanoes, lava, magma, and related geological, geophysical and geochemical phenomena. Its study often involves theories and means of other disciplines, such as chemistry, physics, mathematics, etc. It focuses on volcanic processes and their impact on the environment and society, aims to confirm the natures and reasons of volcanic eruptions so as to predict eruptions. Another practical value of Volcanology is to seek for ore deposits that have the industrial value.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Volcanology. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Volcanic rocks
    • Volcanic and geothermal processes
    • Volcanic and hydrothermal fluids
    • Volcano seismology
    • Volcanic deformation
    • Volcanic eruptions
    • Volcanic petrography

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Volcanology” should be selected during your submission.
