Special Issue on Network Architecture and Protocols

A network protocol is a set of rules, standards, or conventions for communicating data in a computer network. Computer network architecture is a collection of computer network hierarchy model and layer protocol. Communication is the basic goal of any network architecture. The protocol defines how communication occurs, such as data flow between the system, error detection and correction, data format, data packaging, and other features. With the wide application of the development of network technology and computer network, the network architecture and network protocol are various and not unified. It has caused the difficulty of interconnection between heterotypic machines and heterotypic networks. These problems restrict the development and application of computer network itself. Therefore, the network architecture and network protocols must follow the international standardization path.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring network architecture and protocols. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Standardization of network architecture and protocol
• Airborne network architecture
• Hierarchical structure of network system
• Design of new generation network architecture
• Multidimensional scalability of network architectures
• Analysis and implementation of network protocol
• Network protocol testing technology

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
