Dr. Wei-Zhu Zhong 


Dr. Wei-Zhu Zhong is currently a Vice President of Gordon Life Science Institute (an Internet Research Institute) after 25 years working with the Pfizer Global Research & Development, USA. Being one of a few Leadership Team members, she was in charge of the Oncology Drug Development programs, leading to the FDA approval of several anti-cancer drugs, e.g., SUTENT, IBRANCE, and XALKOR. Dr. Zhong’s interest and expertise include “drug discovery and development”, “cheminformatics for drug design”, “drug metabolism”, and “relationship of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics”. In addition to her extensive experience with giant pharmaceutical companies, Dr. Zhong is also a prominent scientist in academic institutions such as Cornell University of USA, Chemical Center of Lund University at Sweden, and Shanghai Institute of Pesticides in China. She has been guest chief editor and board member for a number of journals in the area of biomedicine and medicinal chemistry.
