Advances in Computed Tomography

A CT scan, also known as computed tomography scan, and formerly known as a computerized axial tomography scan or CAT scan, makes use of computer-processed combinations of many X-ray measurements taken from different angles to produce cross-sectional (tomographic) images (virtual "slices") of specific areas of a scanned object, allowing the user to see inside the object without cutting.

In the present book, seventeen typical literatures about Computed Tomography published on international authoritative journals were selected to introduce the worldwide newest progress, which contains reviews or original researches on Digital geometry processing , Medical imaging, industrial computed tomography scanning, nondestructive materials testing, X-ray, etc. We hope this book can demonstrate advances in computed tomography as well as give references to the researchers, students and other related people.
