Jacob
Schaf has obtained his Doctor in Physical Sciences 1979, from the Federal
University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) Brazil, with an experimental thesis
work on Hyperfine Interactions, using Gamma Angular Correlations and Mossbauer
Effect.
In
a subsequent two years Post-Doctor stage he developed experimental physics at
the Université de Paris Sud, Centre de Orsay-France, using Spin-Echo NMR,
Magnetic Measurements and Magnetoresistance in magnetic metallic alloys.
Back
to Brazil, he lectured most disciplines of the graduate physics course as well
as some post-graduate courses in the Institute of Physics of the UFRGS. Besides
this, he developed experimental research on magnetic materials and
superconductivity, advising several doctor theses.
Now
retired and with nearly 150 authored research articles, published in the most
reputed Journals, dedicates full time to his favorite physics topics, the
problems of gravitation and cosmology, achieving now a dozen of publications.
