Angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitors (ACE
inhibitors) are a class of medication used primarily for the treatment of high
blood pressure and heart failure. They work by causing relaxation of
blood vessels as well as a decrease in blood volume, which leads to lower blood
pressure and decreased oxygen demand from the heart.
In the
present book, fifteen typical literatures about advances in Ace Inhibitors published on international authoritative
journals were selected to introduce the worldwide newest progress, which
contains reviews or original researches on ACE inhibitors, angiotensin-converting enzyme and blood
pressure, etc. We hope this book can demonstrate ACE inhibitors as well as
give references to the researchers, students and other related people.
