Special Issue on Synthetic Biology
Synthetic Biology converges biology,
genomics, engineering, and informatics to design, modify, and reconstruct
biological molecules, components, and processes. Drawing from principles of
system biology and engineering, it utilizes techniques such as genetic
engineering, gene synthesis, and metabolic engineering to create novel
biological systems and organisms with specific functions. The goal of this
special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over
the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in
the area of Synthetic Biology.
In this
special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit
original research and review articles on exploring Synthetic
Biology. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Biological engineering
-
Biodesign
-
Synthetic genomics
-
Gene circuits
-
Chassis organisms
-
Biomaterials
-
Protein engineering
-
Synthetic metabolism
-
Cell-based therapies
-
Synthetic ecology
-
Biofuels
-
Synthetic biology in pharmacology
-
Synthetic Biology in medicine
-
Synthetic Biology in computing
-
