ABSTRACT: Microfinance has been promoted by donors as an
effective tool to ensure the financial resilience of the population in
underdeveloped countries. Indeed, their main goal is to promote development in
poor countries. In the new millennium, poverty reduction and financial
resilience have become the watchwords of almost all the institutions involved
in the socio-economic development of poor countries. But the problem is to know
to what extent IMFs programs participate in the financial evolution of
households? Based on the hypothesis that IMF programs will allow households to
improve their financial situation, the objective of this study is to evaluate
the contributions of microfinance activities on the financial evolution of
households based on the results of an opinion survey analyzing the evolution of
the monthly income and savings capacity of a sample of 200 households from the
rural environment.
