Abstract: In wireless sensor networks, there is appreciable error when computing the hop number between unknown and anchor node in the traditional DV-hop algorithm. This paper puts forward a new positioning algorithm based on the traditional DV-hop algorithm, which will get the minimum hop number in the first stage according the features of the RF chip CC2520. Simulation results show that the positioning precision can be greatly improved by this new algorithm.
