Abstract: Abstract: A simulated annealing-based approach is proposed in order to improve the classification accuracy, which not only provides better parameter settings for network architecture of BPN, but also finds out the sensitive subset of features. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, the roller bearing is tested under four operating conditions, five different shaft speeds and two load levels, and 52 features are extracted from the vibration signals of the tested bearing. The experimental results show that the proposed method can obtain a higher classification accuracy rate than other methods. Therefore, it is a promising approach to condition monitoring of rotating machinery.
