Abstract: Abstract: Through studying the case of the U.S. AT&T Bell Laboratories, this paper focuses on the impacts of charismatic leadership and climate for innovation on knowledge innovation. According to the research requirement, a cross-level model is set up based on individual-level variables of charismatic leadership and knowledge innovation behavior. Besides, the paper measures knowledge innovation behavior in R&D teams thoroughly on the basis of the previous researches. Then final conclusions are summarized as follows: charismatic leadership plays a positive role in improving R&D teams’ knowledge innovation; team climate for innovation plays an intermediary role on relationship between them.
