Abstract: Abstract: Through establishing some mathematical model as well as the investigation and empirical analysis on the income distribution and household consumption expenditure of urban residents belonging to different income groups in Heilongjiang Province based on the data of 1998~2007, we conclude that the income gaps between different income groups of urban residents in Heilongjiang Province is expanding and the demand of urban consumers is tremendously potential for growth. But the key to these is to adjust and improve the pattern of urban income distribution, elevating the income distribution status of the lower income groups and then enhancing the impacts of the lower income groups to overall urban consumption.
