Abstract: Abstract: Aiming at oil & gas drilling safety and analyzing the particularity of the drilling engineering system as well as the probable accident risks and their characteristics that may confront in the drilling operation, this paper studies the drilling accident identification and the their damage risk evaluation based on the theories of risk management and oil & gas exploration and extraction. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Fuzzy comprehensive method are introduced to study the comprehensive assessment method of oil & gas drilling process safety. Referring to the oil industry-related laws, regulations, rules and the suggestions of the on-site experts, the paper establishes analytic hierarchy fuzzy comprehensive safety assessment model of oil & gas drilling operation from the points of view of the natural risk, technical risk, managemental risk etc., and confirms the safety management system of the oil & gas drilling engineering, which will be a new exploration to the oil & gas drilling safety assessment and have a guiding function for the petroleum enterprises.
