Abstract: A capacitive device with variable dielectric constant which is used in the detetion of the water content of residual, the detection device is made of glass, and the shape is cylindrical, and the thin copper which is campylodromous inlaid in glass. According to the basic principle of capacitor, the mathematic model of capacitance sensor is established, and analysis the factors and mechanisms which influence the sensitivity the capacitance sensor. Using digital capacitance to measure the capacitance value of the device when there is different water content residual, and check the mathematical model. Designing the hardware circuit and soft- ware programming. Experiments show that the device can measure the water content of residual, and have the advantages of simple structure and low cost.
