Abstract: This paper introduced the basic theory of wavelet analysis and exampled of wavelet analysis in typical image processing applications, including image denoising, image reconstruction and image decompo- sition and integration. Given the simulation results of the image decomposition, reconstruction and image fu- sion in the MATLAB environment using wavelet transform. The simulation results show that the wavelet transform to process the image can get the desired results.
