Abstract: The rice pest and insect disease intelligent decision-support system consists of several subsystems. They are rice planting subsystem; intelligent pest and insect disease diagnose subsystem; on-line expert sub- system; database subsystem about pest and insect; pest disaster information collecting and announcing sub- system. The system is capable of editing and releasing agriculture news. Besides, it makes remote visit and on-line expert help available. An information service platform, which is integrated with crops insect disease intelligent diagnose and disaster information collecting and releasing as well as remote education/inquiry on rice technology, is realized. The system is object oriented and can be implemented cross platform.
