Abstract: In the present work, a QR (Quick Response) Code recognition algorithm feasible for an embedded system was proposed. A two-dimensional bar code recognition system was established by using J2ME. In this system, a bar code was located via a Finder Pattern of a QR Code and a multi-level threshold algorithm was used to realize a binary bar code. Both the anti-perspective transformation algorithm and the bilinear interpo- lation algorithm were applied to correct the distorted symbols. By using this system, the recognition problems caused by uneven lighting, distortion and deformation were effectively solved.
