Abstract: One of the key factors in the improvement of lubricant quality is the improvement of the color of lubricant (to be controlled by Soybolt number value). Based on the various factors data affecting the color of lubricant we get from a certain refinery, using such statistical approaches as regressive diagnosis, stepwise etc and combined with SPSS software, this thesis presents a satisfactory solution to key factors affecting lubricant quality. Meanwhile EVOP method (evolutionary operation) is also applied so that the optimizing engineering conditions are found. The results show that under the circumstances of 30℃ Feed temperature, 120% air injection rate and 40ppm agents active body injection rate, the average value of Soybolt number has been conspicuously increased from 24.2899 to 24.5659 resulting in the fulfillment of the purpose of the improvement of lubricant quality.
