Abstract: The paper briefly surveys current studies and results in the research of opinion formation. Considering the interactive property of people in the opinion interaction, we propose an opinion model that takes into account the co-evolution of both individual opinions and preferences. Simulation results of the model and their implications are also given. Finally, we present discussions about the future developments and prospects of studies on opinion formation.
