Abstract: To meet the high demand of service grid on Quality of Service, integrating the QoS mechanism into the grid resource management can better utilize the resource in the open, heterogeneous and dynamic grid environment. Under the consideration of local loads, the resource QoS capability in physical layer is mapped onto virtual organization layer, shielding the heterogeneity and autonomy of grid resource. Moreover, the classification scheme and quantitative methods of grid QoS is proposed from the user's perspective. Based on this new scheme and QoS structure, a grid resource management model is presented, along with the corresponding scheduling strategy.
