Abstract: For settling the problem of query results merging, a meta-search engine sorting algorithm based on web quality and user profile is brought forward. Synthesis algorithms of the query results which is based on user profile is improved by introducing the measure of the quality of web pages. Then this paper uses the improved abstract algorithm to calculate the relevance between user query and query results. On the base of user profile, the search results are combined and sorted. Experiments proved that this algorithm ensures recall rate and precision rate of the search results and greatly improves the effectiveness and efficiency of user retrieval.
