Abstract: In this paper, we present an ontology-based spatio-temporal data mining framework. The proposed framework makes use of background knowledge (e.g., ontology, domain-oriented knowledge) in four steps including building data representation model, preprocessing data, mining spatio-temporal data and evaluating mining results. Combining background knowledge into mining processing will improve the performance of spatio-temporal data mining.
