Abstract: Multipath propagation causes severe inter-symbol interference, which degrades the system performance. An interpolation method is introduced to estimate the transfer function of time-varying fading channel. Iterative frequency domain equalization, which can improve the bit error performance dramatically, is also discussed in this paper. Both methods are developed to eliminate ISI in the broadband wireless system. Simulations are implemented to evaluate the performance of interpolation-based channel estimation algorithm. Then the BER performances under different iterative times are discussed. estimation; iterative equalization
