Abstract: The GSM-R wireless communication system designed for the special applications on high-speed railways is the indispensable basis for train to wayside communication in train control systems. However, as data transmission error is inevitable in wireless communication systems, it is important to discuss relative factors in such cases. This paper illustrates important factors during data transmitting process, and specifies effective ones in the following analysis. And then gradually it identifies related timer values from actual settings of Qinghai-Tibet railway, Da-Qin railway, Jiao-Ji railway and test sections of Wu-Guang and Zheng-Xi high speed railway, which differs from GSM-R standards. Analysis and specifications are aimed to provide a detailed reference for the high-speed railway GSM-R network optimization in the future.
