Abstract: |
Recently, distributed video coding has been a promising technology in view of low-complexity encoding, which is suitable for the limited capacity of mobile terminals. In this paper, a DVC scheme in pixel domain is proposed firstly and then based on it we present a novel DVC scheme in DCT domain. Through polyphase permuting, the correlation between the DCT coefficients can be explored to enhance the rate-distortion performance. Furthermore, we also employ deadzone in DCT coefficients for better compression efficiency. The experimental results show the improved performance of the proposed scheme can be achieved compared with other DVC schemes.
