Abstract: According to fast industry development, greenhouse gases are emitted more and more. And many people found the global surface temperature increased. In Taiwan, the issue also becomes popular, we can find greener electronics in many marketplace. And a discount measure to encourage energy conservation was implemented by Taiwan Power Company. So, conserving energy is a very important issue in our life. Many people start to reduce the using of energy, but schools can use much energy, particularly computer classrooms. A computer classroom has dozens of computer in use. But some student may forget to shutdown the computer; it will waste more energy and money. So we try to implement a "RFID Energy Saving System for Computer Classroom" with WOL and ACPI technology. If RFID get the information that the student is not in Classroom, system will let his computer into "Suspend State" or "Shutdown State". We found that one computer can save about 100 watt, and more computer can save more energy.
